Singapore films, or at least films featured today with some Singaporean involvement, get the spotlight today, starting with writer-director Yong Mun Chee's
When the Road Meets the Sun, a film that was amongst the pioneer batch of films that received seed funding from the Singapore Film Commission's New Feature Film Fund. Having cut her teeth in local television from documentaries to dramas before venturing overseas, this is Mun Chee's debut effort and she is joined by her cast members Fernando Noriega and Luke Brandon Field to introduce the film.
Do pardon the slight interruption during the recording which resulted in very short, jarring excerpts in Parts 2 and 3.
