Lasting 1.5 hours on a cool Saturday evening, the Green Carpet event saw guests, cast and crew from Japan and abroad, such as Jury President Jon Voight, Blindness' Fernando Mierelles and Julianne Moore, Justin Chadwick, Karena Lam, and the main leads from John Woo's Red Cliff, come meet and greet the fans to officially mark the opening of the 21st Tokyo International Film Festival. Given that it's usually a black tie kind of affair, you can bet your last dollar on the Japanese giving this event a quirky flavour of their own, ranging from animals (stuffed, or otherwise real, such as the Pig which is featured prominently in School Days With a Pig), as well as a spaceman?!
He's My Crew!Singapore's represented by Bosco Francis and James Toh, the lead actor and producer respectively for My Magic, in competition in the Winds of Asia-Middle East section. For TIFFCOM, we have Boi Kwong's The Days represented there as well.
