Wisit Sasanatieng may have struggled in the making of a mainstream superhero action film in Red Eagle, and up until now I'm still tempted to give it another viewing since there's the Taiwanese DVD release that comes with English subtitles. Given its relatively more adult content it's unlikely a DVD release will be made here, so I suppose that version may have to do. Until then, I had also gotten my hands on possibly the only English friendly DVD release of Wisit's The Unseeable, a horror film that managed to deliver where it mattered, and marking Wisit's collaboration with writer Kongkiat Khomsiri, where both will switch directing and writing roles for the serial killer film Slice in 2010.
You can read my review of The Unseeable here.
The Region Free DVD by InnoForm Media presents the film in an anamorphic widescreen format that is free of blemish, with audio in its original Thai soundtrack selectable in either Dolby Digital Stereo, or 5.1. Scene selection is available over 8 chapters, and subtitles are available in English and Mandarin. Unfortunately there isn't any substantial Special Features, with only 2 letterbox format Trailers (2:17 and 2:11) and 18 Photo Stills.
