Expectations can be such a bitch.
With the star power attached to this project hailing from the classic TVB's Five Tigers - Andy Lau, Tony Leung Chiu Wai being replaced by Eason Chan, Felix Wong Yat Wah, Miu Kiu Wai and Ken Tong, could this movie really be what I saw? A tale of HK triads so blandly made, that characters became cariacatures, action became cartoonish, and became fundamentally what was everyone seemingly going through the motions?
Technically very sound, but lacking the all important soul. You don't connect with anything or anyone in the movie, and when the lights come on, unfortunately you'll be very hard pressed to find anything worth remembering from the story.
