OK this isn't exactly film related, but I guess a book launch for this title should make some sit up and take notice.
Date: 21st April 2012 (Saturday)
Time: 2.00 p.m. – 3.00 p.m.
Venue: Kinokuniya Singapore Main Store (Ngee Ann City), Crossroads
Hollywood film and television producer Rona Edwards has collaborated with Monika Skerbelis, a former studio executive to write The Complete Filmmaker’s Guide to Film Festivals, the first step-by-step ‘How To’ guide to film festivals, offering filmmakers a bird’s eye view of what it takes to have a successful festival experience. The book includes practical, hands-on information with examples such as targeting the right festivals, creating a press kit, promoting and branding your film and yourself.
Rona Edwards is currently an assistant professor at Chapman University Singapore, one of the top film schools in the world, and has previously also written the critically acclaimed book I Liked It, Didn’t Love It: Screenplay Development from the Inside Out with Monika Skerbelis. Together, they also founded Edwards Skerbelis Entertainment Film Workshops Online – an online website that provides a unique opportunity to learn the ins and outs of today's Hollywood from working industry professionals via online workshops.
Aspiring filmmakers, here’s your chance to meet Rona Edwards in person during the launch of The Complete Filmmaker’s Guide to Film Festivals at Books Kinokuniya on Saturday, 21st March 2012 at 2.00 p.m. Grab this opportunity to pick up useful tips on film festivals and also get your copy of Rona Edwards’ new book signed personally by her.
