Let's Rock This Joint Once More
One of the earliest, if not THE earliest Singapore film to be sold out at this year's Singapore International Film Festival, I had so much fun during that world premiere screening, and the rest of the audience as well, that an encore screening was organized and scheduled at Sinema Old School this evening, again with the filmmakers Helmi Ali and Razin Ramzi, and the band members of I Am David Sparkle - Amran Khamis, Djohan Johari, Farizwan Fajari and Zahir Sanosi - in attendance.
I had said I had "Seen possibly THE best film of SIFF SG Panorama" before, and after watching it for the second time, I'm even more affirmative in sticking to my guns, with the documentary film introducing the band to a new batch of audience tonight, and I can safely say to a new set of admirers as well by the time the end credits rolled by with the band in top form on screen performing their closing set during the launch of their sophomore album Swords.
You can click here to read my review of the film, and here for the Q&A session conducted right after the World Premiere screening during SIFF2011. Otherwise, this was tonight's post-screening Q&A proceedings:

Whatever you do and wherever you are, if you do know that IADS - the movie Ignore All Detour Signs, and/or the band I Am David Sparkle; they share same initials if you're not already aware - is coming to town or being featured in a gig or screening, drop whatever you have scheduled and make a beeline to get tickets. You'll not regret it.
