Japanese Film Festival Closing Film

It's 3 days to go to the start of the festival, and if you haven't got tickets yet, I think it's time you do.

Air Doll has its entire 3 screening run sold out, and the other films more likely to sell out soon will be Lalapipo which has sold out a screening and has another scheduled, and Fish Story which has a second screening as well. But hey, there are still many others available to choose from, and not to forget the FREE screenings too, if you turn up early at the venue.

Yuriko's Aroma director Yoshida Kota will be the guest this year, and it's just been announced that the closing film for this year's festival will be Sweet Little Lies, directed by Hitoshi Yazaki and starring Miki Nakatani (Memories of Matsuko). This 2010 film comes hot off the heels of July's Japan Cuts' Festival of Contemporary Japanese Cinema, where it made its US Premiere as the festival's closing film as well.

Tickets for Sweet Little LIes go on sale 18th August at 9am....
So What Are You Waiting For?
